Lamp Incalmo
Incalmo is a hanging lamp. Its distinguishing feature is the succession of transparent, white or grey horizontal strips in blown glass. The lampshade serves both a screening function in the tighter corners and a diffusing one in the emission of light in the room. The term Incalmo derives from a technique, devised in Murano in the 16th century, which allows to obtain blown glass pieces with or more chromatic areas. Incalmo can be thought of as as metaphor for the attempt at combining the LED technological innovation with a the know-how of craftsmen, preserved in our historical memory. The synthesis between these two worlds allows to enhance the optical performance of the piece, as well as its efficiency, and enrich the aesthetics of the lamp giving it a well-rounded presence in the space.
